Corfu International Airport Ioannis Kapodistrias (CFU)
Airport Information

(Corfu, Greece)

Housed in a small but modern building, Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport (CFU) is busy for its size, operating around three flights a day to Athens and additional flights to a number of international destinations, linking cities in Austria, Germany and the UK.

The airport is sited around 3 km / 2 miles south of the centre of Corfu Town, the island's principal town, and close to Kerkyra, Pontikonisi, Potamos and the beautiful Vlaheraina Monastery. When arriving and departing, passengers are treated to spectacular views across Pontikonisi, the Kanoni hills and the coastline.

Corfu Airport features a single terminal, which efficiently handles all of its passengers and air traffic, and can become especially busy during the summer months of July and August, when large numbers of holidaymakers arrive without fail. The main domestic Greek airlines currently operating at Corfu Airport are both Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airlines, with further services offered by Air Sea Lines, a small local seaplane operator.

A public bus service operates between the airport and popular destinations around the island, including Corfu Town itself, Benitses, Dassia, the Gouvia marina, Ipsos and Kerkyra. Further afield and still within reach of Corfu Airport are the popular resorts of Kassiopi (north), Kavos (south), Moraitika (south), and the village of Paleokastritsa, which lies to the north-west and is famed for its exceptional natural beauty.
